Human factors aren’t optional
— they’re foundational.
Every product begins with empathy: starts with listening what athletes say, how they move, where they hesitate, and what they reach for when no one's watching. Human factors aren't just ergonomic—they're emotional. They shape how a product feels in the hand, how it transitions in motion, and how it disappears in use when designed right.
But listening isn’t enough. The process demands testing, breaking, refining—and knowing when to honor tradition or completely rewrite the rules. In sporting goods, history carries weight, but innovation creates momentum. We prototype, challenge assumptions, and embrace feedback as fuel. Whether it's redefining grip, improving airflow, or reshaping a classic form, I design not just to meet the moment—but to elevate each performance.
Aligning with a brand’s theme also means more than using the right logo; it’s about distilling the spirit of movement into form, function, and color. I obsess over shades that stir emotion, finishes that invite touch, and silhouettes that speak precision and dedication without words.
From early sketches to go-to-market, collaboration drives quality. I work hand-in-hand with material vendors and manufacturing partners to curate the right bill of materials — dialing in textures, flex points, durability, and as mush as possible, environmental responsibility. When existing methods fall short, we develop new ones: prototyping workflows, testing rigs, or compound blends that better meet the challenge. Before a product line ever ships, they are vetted in the lab and in the field — because performance doesn’t begin at launch; it begins with discipline behind the scenes.
